Adventure Motorcycle Panniers Review | Tested on BDR Routes and Backcountry Trails

Husqvarna “Side Bag Set” These are the Panniers I bought for my first BDR and I loved them…at first. I talked about how great they were in my video! Well, all of that caught up to me and they ended up failing after 1.5 trips. I liked how they carried everything, and they packed well, but they are not durable. I made it back with them from that second trip, blown out seams, broken hardware, and all. I called the manufacturer, they don’t sell the hardware to fix the broken plastic attachment points. They’re just too light duty and are prone to failure, I wouldn’t trust them on the road or the trail. GiantLoop Armadillo Bag Review | Extra Fuel for BDR & Adventure Motorcycle Riding

The GiantLoop Armadillo Bag is a great way to pack extra gas. It will pack nice and tight when it is empty, and strap on your bags when it is full. I was able to strap it securely to my tail bag and I did not have any issues with it leaking what so ever. The Armadillo Bag was greatly appreciated when I got to Elk City on the Idaho BDR and found out that the only gas pump in town was broken.  One of the biggest challenges on long adventure and Backcountry Discovery Route (BDR) rides is fuel range, especially in remote areas where gas stations can be closed, out of service, or simply too far apart.
