These are the Panniers I bought for my first BDR and I loved them…at first. I talked about how great they were in my video!
Well, all of that caught up to me and they ended up failing after 1.5 trips. I liked how they carried everything, and they packed well, but they are not durable. I made it back with them from that second trip, blown out seams, broken hardware, and all. I called the manufacturer, they don’t sell the hardware to fix the broken plastic attachment points. They’re just too light duty and are prone to failure, I wouldn’t trust them on the road or the trail.
Giant Loop Mototrekk Panniers
I now have the Giant Loop MotoTrekk Panniers with their GL Pannier Mount. They have over 5k miles on them and I love them. The set up is awesome. I was able to attach the Giant Loop Pannier Mount bracket to my original pannier rack and they are solid. They’ve traveled on the road up to speed for days getting to trails, and on miles of Arizona rocky roads. They’re not fancy, but I would definitely get these again, because they hit a good price point and have been dependable and I think look pretty good when they are on and off the bike.
