At first glance, the Joe Rocket Atomic Ion textile motorcycle jacket looks exactly like the Atomic 5.0 jacket, and you would be right. It has the same great 3 season performance and hi-flow ventilation for those hot days, CE rated armor in the shoulders and elbows, and looks virtually identical. Where the Atomic Ion departs from the Atomic 5.0 is the reflective INNOLITE shoulders and elbows. The INNOLITE fabric in the Atomic Ion is unique as compared to other reflective fabrics because it reflects at night when a light source is on it, but during the day it looks like a normal high density nylon and does not detract from the jackets sports rider design.

The Atomic Ion is the top of the Joe Rocket Atomic design and takes all the great design upgrades from the Atomic 5.0 jacket and adds night time safety. At WizzWare we love the added night time safety and we suggest that if you can afford the extra $40 dollars and can live with either a Black/Black, or Black/Hi-Viz color option, then we suggest that this is the Atomic Jacket you purchase.
